March Newsletter

I can't believe that we are already at March Break. I hope that you all will have some time to enjoy this week with your loved ones. Do you have any plans? If you are free, I would love you to join me at Decathlon on Friday for a free Yoga Class for Children.
This month I turned 40 which is hard to believe. I have overcome many struggles, so I have decided to try things that challenge me this year. One I am excited about is climbing a mountain. We will head to Alberta, learn for a few days, and then attempt to summit the mountain if the weather permits.

Over the past month, I have thought a lot about trying. We live in a society that likes perfection. I am embracing the fact that I am not good at things but can enjoy doing them anyways. This self-compassion opens up the freedom to explore and create without judgement. Do you do things just for fun? Have you ever done something you are not good at just because? This models so much for ourselves and those around us that it is ok to enjoy something without being the best or even good at it. We notice small shifts when we try, explore, and reach outside our comfort zone. These could be mindset, habits, internal, and things that we can't explain, but we NOTICE something happening.
Have you done anything to climb outside your comfort zone? I would love you to send me a message at reframefamilyyoga@gmail.com and share your stories. Amazingly, it gets easier to try new things and explore more when we start to push past our comforts.
This Friday, March 18th, at 10:15 am, I will have a free Children's yoga class. You can register here.
Caregiver and Tot class either drop-in or session - March 25 - June 3, 10:15 AM. No class Good Friday, April 15.
Children's yoga drop-in or session - March 26 - May 29, 3:00 - 3:45 PM.
I started some more training this month on making yoga more Accessible for Everyone. I am excited about how this will help me see my biases and create a more inclusive and brave space. Being accessible is what I strive for Reframe Family yoga and being Trauma Sensitive.
This is a space where you are welcome, no matter where you are from, your ability, race, gender or economic status—learning how to break down systematic barriers along the way. We want people to be themselves and not feel like they have to change "Just Be You."
